There’s some positive preliminary enrollment numbers in the Lynnville-Sully School District. Superintendent Shane Ehresman says the current count shows 510 students in Kindergarten through 12th grade. That preliminary number represents an increase of 23 students from last year. A year ago…Lynnville-Sully gained over a dozen students. The District relies heavily on open enrollment. Superintendent Ehresman says they typically gain about 80 students each year from neighboring districts, while only losing about 35 children to other schools.

October 2nd is the official enrollment certification date. The number of students on that day determines how much state funding a school district receives next school year. Each student brings in 6-thousand 664-dollars of state aid.
